Greetings parents and guardians! I appreciate individuals like you who are serious and passionate about their child's academic and overall success.
Thank you for coming to learn about how I can offer my support and assist in increasing your child's reading level and closing their reading gap.
My name is Dana M. Wales. I am the owner and Reading Interventionist at Success in English, LLC.
I also do business as Success in Reading.
By profession, I am a New York State licensed general and special educator who has been teaching since 2010. I started as a lead teacher/Educational Director for a Pre-K program and then moved on to teach grade 2 in a charter school.
Later, I finally took a role as a special educator in a private school.
Overall, I have taught students from preschool to grade 8 in school settings and provided the following services in students' homes:
Special Instructor / ABA Therapist for ages 0-3 (Early Intervention Program with the NYS Department of Health)
SEIT for ages 3-5 (Committee on Preschool Special Education with the NYC Department of Education)
SETSS for ages 5+ (Committee on Special Education with the NYC Department of Education)
As a child, reading and overall literacy were my strongest and most excelled areas of academics in school.
As an educator, I am passionate about helping my students reach their highest levels of literacy because all subjects and life, in general, require being proficient in reading. I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s journey to reading proficiency.
